Singer Sonu Nigam is basking in the success of his latest track, Pardesiya, from the film Param Sundari, which has gone viral. Audiences are swooning over his melodious voice and the breathtaking visuals
of Kerala. The song features Sidharth Malhotra, for whom Sonu has lent his vocals for the first time, a pairing the singer expressed great admiration for.
In a chat with the Hindustan Times, Sonu Nigam shared his admiration for Sidharth Malhotra, saying, “This romantic song is working very well. It’s the first time I’ve sung for Sidharth, and it’s suiting him so well. He’s looking so good in the song, and it feels like he’s actually singing. I’m really thankful to God for all the love.”
Opening up about his emotional reaction to the audience’s overwhelming response, Sonu added, “I was reading all the messages I was getting for Pardesiya. I was crying, literally sobbing in gratitude. I’ve seen so much love and respect. Sometimes things don’t work out, and sometimes the unexpected just clicks. All I take away from this is to keep working hard, and magic happens.”
Recently, Sidharth Malhotra also praised the song and Sonu Nigam’s vocals. Sidharth said, “Pardesiya isn’t just a song, it’s a feeling that stays with you long after it ends. Sachin–Jigar and Amitabh have yet again created pure magic. The moment I heard the track, I knew it had something special.”
He added, “Sonu sir’s voice brings a timeless emotion to it, and lip syncing to his voice for a love song is truly special. Shooting alongside Janhvi was effortless. It’s been one of my personal favourite love songs to shoot….”
The song has also been praised for the sizzling chemistry between Janhvi Kapoor and Sidharth Malhotra. The song also has vocals by Krishnakali Saha and Sachin-Jigar, lyrics by Sachin-Jigar and lyrics by Amitabh Bhattacharya. The film is set to be released on August 29, 2025.
Param Sundari’s Was Pushed From July To August
Param Sundari was previously slated for release on July 25. However, the film’s release date was later pushed to August 29. The makers had announced the same with a new video featuring Sidharth and Janhvi. “The biggest love story of the year, Param Sundari, from the house of Dinesh Vijan and Maddock Films, directed by Tushar Jalota, starring Sidharth Malhotra and Janhvi Kapoor, releases August 29. And in just one hour, feel every beat and every emotion of the love story with Pardesiya, the love anthem of 2025,” read the caption.
Previously, a PeepingMoon report revealed why Param Sundari’s release date was shifted. It quoted a source saying, “Dinesh Vijan didn’t want Param Sundari to be lost in a crowded release schedule next month.” The producer reportedly feels that the romantic drama has commercial value. “Since there are already other rom-coms releasing in July, the visibility and reception of Sidharth-Janhvi’s film might have been affected,” the source also added.
