US-Iran-Israel War: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has issued a stark warning to Iran, saying that the “war is not iver yet” and Israel is preparing for every possible scenario amid escalating
tensions following the collapse of the US-Iran ceasefire.
While addressing the Israeli Air Force graduation ceremony at Hatzerim Air Base on Thursday, the Israeli Prime Minister said that maintaining Israel’s air superiority remains central to the country’s security strategy. He said that while Iran had suffered significant setbacks, new challenges were emerging.
“The Iranian regime has been dealt a severe blow, and our policy is clear that Iran will not possess nuclear weapons, whether with or without an agreement. If we had not acted, Iran would have acquired nuclear weapons; the war is not over yet, and new challenges are emerging before us,” Netanyahu said as quoted by local media outlets.
His remarks came a day after US President Donald Trump declared that the ceasefire was “over” and dismissed further negotiations with Tehran as “a waste of time”, after both countries exchanged fresh military strikes. Iran targeted commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz and later launched retaliatory attacks on US military installations in Bahrain and Kuwait after Washington struck more than 80 Iranian targets and reimposed sanctions on Iranian oil sales.
Echoing the prime minister’s warning, Israeli military chief Lt Gen Eyal Zamir said the campaign against Iran had not ended and that the armed forces were already preparing new operational plans. “Major operations are still expected to lie ahead of us,” he said.
Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz also said the military was ready to resume strikes on Iran if necessary. “If we have to go back, we will go back with even greater force,” Katz said, adding that Israel remained on alert to regain air superiority and eliminate threats.
Netanyahu said Israel had demonstrated the reach of its military operations “from Yemen to Iran” but stressed that the broader campaign against Iran and its regional allies was continuing. He also reiterated that Israeli troops would remain deployed in Lebanon “as long as the need requires.”
