the year is all set to offer something for everyone.
With Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar already making waves across the country, let’s take a look at the upcoming theatrical releases of December:
Mere Raho (December 12)
Directed by Sunil Pandey, this romantic drama marks Sai Pallavi’s Bollywood debut. In the film the actress will be seen alongside Junaid Khan in lead roles. The film follows two strangers spending a day together that leads to a life-changing experience.
Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2 (December 12)
A sequel to Kapil Sharma’s 2015 comedy, Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2 tells the hilarious tale of a man who ends up marrying three girls by accident. The film features stars Kapil Sharma, Manjot Singh, Ayesha Khan, Tridha Choudhury, Parul Gulati, and Hira Warina, among others.

Set in 2040, this science fiction romantic comedy revolves around a man who searches for authentic love in a world bound by technology. The film stars Pradeep Ranganathan, S. J. Suryah and Krithi Shetty in leading roles, while Yogi Babu, Seeman, Gouri G. Kishan, Shah Ra, Malavika, Mysskin, Anandaraj and Sunil Reddy play supporting roles.
Avatar: Fire and Ash (December 19)
This epic science fiction film is the third instalment in the Avatar film series and follows Jake and Neytiri’s family after settling in with the Metkayina clan. The film casts Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldaña, Stephen Lang, Sigourney Weaver, Joel David Moore, CCH Pounder, Giovanni Ribisi, Dileep Rao and others who reprise their roles from the previous film.
Durlabh Prasad Ki Dusri Shadi (December 19)
Mahima Chaudhry and Sanjay Mishra-starrer romantic entertainer Durlabh Prasad Ki Dusri Shadi is a vibrant mix of humour, emotional drama, and the unmistakable charm of Banaras. The film also stars Vyom Yadav, Pallak Lalwani, Pravin Singh Sisodia, and Shrikant Verma in other supporting roles.
Is This Thing On? (December 19)
Directed by Bradley Cooper, this comedy drama is loosely inspired by the life of British comedian John Bishop. The film stars Arnett, Laura Dern, Cooper, Andra Day, Amy Sedaris, Sean Hayes, Christine Ebersole and Ciarán Hinds in prominent roles.
Ikkis (December 25)
Directed by Sriram Raghavan, Ikkis follows an untold story of India’s youngest Param Vir Chakra awardee, Second Lieutenant Arun Khetrapal. The film marks Dharmendra’s final on-screen presence. Ikkis also stars Agastya Nanda, Jaideep Raghavan, Simar Bhatia and others in prominent roles.
Tu Meri Main Tera, Main Tera Tu Meri (December 25)
This much-awaited romantic comedy starring Kartik Aaryan and Ananya Panday delves into a relationship between two people who part ways hoping to meet again. The film features Neena Gupta, Jackie Shroff, and Tiku Talsania in supporting roles.
Vrusshabha (December 25)
Directed by Nanda Kishore, this fantasy action drama follows a wealthy diamond magnate whose son’s journey to their ancestral village awakens memories of a violent past. The film stars Mohanlal in the lead role alongside Samarjit Lankesh, Ragini Dwivedi, Nayan Sarika, Ajay and Neha Saxena.
Anaconda (December 25)
This action comedy serves as a meta-reboot of the 1997 film Anaconda and stars Paul Rudd and Jack Black in the lead roles. The film follows Doug and Griff’s attempt to recapture their youth as they travel to the Amazon to film an amateur remake of the original Anaconda film.
