Samantha Ruth Prabhu is gearing up for her next action-comedy film, Maa Inti Bangaaram. The movie, which will hit theatres on June 19, has already recovered its making expense courtesy of strong demand
for theatrical and non-theatrical rights. As per an update, the competition was quite intense, with several buyers pitching in to buy the rights of the film’s theatrical and non-theatrical release. Now, it is said that all the deals have been closed.
Talking about the release and enthusiasm around Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s Maa Inti Bangaaram, producer Himank Duvvuru says, “Recovering our full investment before the film even hits screens is a testament to the belief the market has placed in Maa Inti Bangaaram. For a female-led Telugu film, this kind of response from buyers across territories and platforms is truly gratifying. At Tralala Moving Pictures, we always backed this story and Samantha’s powerhouse presence wholeheartedly, and to see that conviction reflected commercially means everything. We cannot wait for audiences worldwide to experience this film on June 19.”
“For a female-led Telugu film in the current market, this is a strong commercial signal. The rights were packaged early, buyers were engaged well in advance, and every deal was closed with the intention of making it successful together with our distributors and buyers. We hope to keep up the faith they have shown in our movie,” the filmmaker shared.
According to a report by Gulte, Maa Inti Bangaaram has a runtime of 2 hours, 34 minutes, and 30 seconds. The film has also received a UA certification from the CBFC.
Maa Inti Bangaaram was meant for Sai Pallavi
Recently, Samantha Ruth Prabhu shared a video in which she revealed that director Nandini Reddy originally wrote the script with Sai Pallavi in mind. However, due to her packed shooting commitments, Sai Pallavi could not take up the project. The script was then reworked for Samantha. Reacting to Samantha’s revelation, Sai Pallavi shared a heartfelt message on Instagram. She wrote, “MIB was meant to reach you, dear @samantharuthprabhuoffl garu. Sending you and @nandureddy garu the biggest hug and best wishes. And yes, soon.”
Maa Inti Bangaaram postponed
Samantha’s film, which was scheduled to release on May 15, was pushed to June 19. The makers decided to move the release date to avoid a box-office clash with the IPL season.
