Russia launched a wave of missile and drone strikes on Kyiv early Thursday, damaging a building that houses the European Union’s diplomatic mission.
EU Ambassador to Ukraine Katarina Mathernova confirmed
that the facility was “severely damaged by the shock wave” from the “massive” overnight missile and drone strikes.
She said at least 10 people were killed and 30 others wounded in the assault.
Condemning the strikes, Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha accused Moscow of deliberately targeting diplomats, calling it a “direct breach of the Vienna convention.”
