The notification for the Andhra Pradesh State Eligibility Test (APSET-2025) has been issued, providing eligibility for the recruitment and promotion of Assistant Professors/Lecturers in universities and degree
colleges in Andhra Pradesh. The application process will commence on January 9, 2026, via the official websites apset.net.in and andhrauniversity.edu.in.
The APSET-2025 exam will be held online on March 28 and 29, 2026, consisting of two papers: Paper-1 (Teaching, Research Aptitude) and Paper-2 (Candidate’s chosen subject). The exam will cover 30 subjects.
Andhra University, Visakhapatnam, will conduct the exam on behalf of the Government of Andhra Pradesh, adhering to UGC norms. Qualifying this exam is essential for lecturer positions in universities, government, and private degree colleges across the state.
Application Fees For AP SET 2025
Application fees are Rs 1600 for General category candidates, Rs 1300 for BC, EWS category, and Rs 900 for SC, ST, PWD, and Third Gender candidates. Fees must be paid online using credit/debit cards or net banking. Late fee application details will be provided in the notification later.
AP SET 2025 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must hold a Master’s degree or equivalent from a UGC-recognised university, with at least 55 per cent marks for the general category and 50 per cent marks for reserved categories. There is no age limit. Those who have completed a PhD will receive mark relaxation. Examination centres will be set up in various cities across the state.
AP SET Syllabus
The syllabus aligns with UGC-NET. Paper-1 includes topics like Teaching Aptitude, Research Methodology, Reading Comprehension, Communication, and Logical Reasoning. Paper-2 pertains to the candidate’s chosen subject. Successful candidates will receive a certificate valid for lifetime, qualifying them for lecturer positions in Andhra Pradesh colleges and universities.
