with Yash’s Toxic: A Fairy Tale For Grown-Ups. While netizens have been speculating if Aditya Dhar will postpone his movie to avoid the box office clash, it has now been reported that the filmmaker is planning to stick to the announced date.
If a report by Bollywood Hungama is to be believed, Dhurandhar 2 will hit theatres on March 19 and will not be postponed. “It is a hundred per cent on. The date March 19 is final and irrevocable. The false stories doing the rounds about the postponement are the desperate elements to play our film down. People were spreading such rumours before the release of the first part also,” a source close to Dhar told the entertainment portal.
Released in December 2025, Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar was a massive commercial and critical success, breaking several records and becoming the biggest movie of 2025. The movie has collected a worldwide gross of Rs 1283.5 crore until Day 45, according to Sacnilk, and Rs 989.9 crore in India, while the overseas collection stands at Rs 293.6 crore.
Vicky Kaushal In Dhurandhar 2?
On Wednesday, a report by Mid-Day claimed that Vicky Kaushal, who is also shooting for Love and War currently, will be playing an extended cameo in Dhurandhar 2. It was said that the actor had already shot his sequence.
However, another report by Bollywood Hungama later dismissed all speculations and claimed that Kaushal’s Uri: The Surgical Strike character will not be a part of Dhurandhar 2. The source also called the speculations “outrageous” and urged everyone not to believe in it.
“Vicky Kaushal and Uri are not part of Dhurandhar. I don’t know where that comes from. We understand the curiosity and excitement for the second part. One can treat these as fan generated rumours and speculation. But we can’t have the media reporting such outrageous assumptions as news,” the insider said.
