The Telangana State Election Commission has issued the notification for municipal elections across the state. State Election Commissioner Rani Kumudini announced the full election schedule.
Voting for the
municipal elections will be held on February 11. The counting of votes is scheduled for February 13.
More than 5.3 million voters are eligible to take part in the polls.
The elections will be conducted for seven municipal corporations and 116 municipalities across Telangana. However, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) will not be included in this election.
Candidates can file their nominations from January 28 to January 31.
With the release of the election notification, the Model Code of Conduct has come into effect across Telangana.
