Varun Dhawan is currently gearing up for the release of his upcoming movie, Border 2. On Tuesday, i.e. days ahead of the film’s release, the actor visited a Shiv mandir in Mumbai to seek blessings. In
a video that India Forums shared on social media, Varun was seen praying with folded hands at the temple. The actor also greeted the priests as he hoped for Border 2’s success.
For his temple visit, Varun Dhawan sported a brown jacket with blue jeans. He was also accompanied by his team as he visited the temple.
Varun Dhawan’s temple visits are not limited to this one. Previously, the actor also visited the Golden Temple in Amritsar to seek blessings for his film.

Border 2 shows Varun Dhawan play the role of Colonel Hoshiar Singh Dahiya PVC, who led his troops with unflinching courage during the 1971 Indo-Pakistan war, and was awarded the Param Vir Chakra for his heroism, India’s highest military honour.
While Varun’s fans are excited for his performance in Border 2, a section of social media users has also been trolling him lately. Recently, Suniel Shetty also came out in Varun’s support and slammed those bashing the actor.
“Has anybody seen the film (Border 2)? Nobody has seen the film. We’ve seen glimpses of the film. Varun Dhawan will kill it in the film, he’s outstanding. Varun is not playing himself; he is playing a decorated officer who’s given his life for the country. So, I think we should think a little bit before we go out there and say these things. Today, it’s very easy to trash someone and run them down,” he told Bombay Times.
Directed by Anurag Singh, Border 2 also stars Sunny Deol, Diljit Dosanjh and Ahan Shetty, and is scheduled to release in theatres on January 23, 2026.
