In a sharp attack on the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP), Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy alleged that the BJP-led Union government does not provide funds to Telangana or Southern states. Further,
he alleged that BJP favours states like UP, MP, and Bihar while considering “southern states as second-grade citizens.”
Reddy addressed a press conference at his residence on Monday. Speaking to reporters, he said, “We are extending funds to redevelop temples while the BJP is seeking votes in the name of temples. We will not seek votes in the name of temples or religions. We are not like the BJP. We will carry out our responsibility. We are giving funds for all temples…We don’t do things to show off.”
“People will respond to them. People will give them a reply over the language they are speaking. Everyone will get a reply. People are going to decide on 11th February.”
Reddy further said that he has reported these issues before NITI Aayog. “Injustice is being done to southern states. They are giving special packages to Bihar, UP, MP. But the BJP considers southern states as second-grade citizens. This is not right. We raised this issue before NITI Aayog,” he added.
