Bengaluru: A dramatic rescue at a railway station in Karnataka has gone viral after a station master’s quick reflexes saved a passenger from a potentially fatal fall near a moving train.

According to railway officials, the incident took place on December 13, 2025, when a passenger attempted to board Train No. 16219 while it was already in motion a dangerous and prohibited act. CCTV footage shows the station master closely monitoring the platform as the train departed.
Within seconds, the passenger lost balance while trying to climb onto the moving train and began slipping dangerously close to the wheels, triggering a life-threatening situation. Anticipating the danger, the station master immediately sprang into action.
In a swift and decisive move, he ran towards the passenger, firmly grabbed him and pulled him back to safety, narrowly preventing what could have resulted in serious injury or death.
The video also shows other passengers rushing in moments later to assist the shaken man and ensure he was safely away from the train.
Railway authorities praised the station master’s presence of mind, alertness and commitment to duty, calling the rescue a textbook example of vigilance and timely intervention. The incident has drawn widespread appreciation online, with many users applauding the official’s courage and urging stricter adherence to railway safety rules.
Officials once again reminded passengers not to attempt boarding or alighting from moving trains, warning that such actions pose severe risks to life.
