The BMC elections 2026 saw several Bollywood stars reach the polling booths to cast their vote. Among them was Ranbir Kapoor. The actor, who is well-known for keeping a low profile, interacted with the media
and urged people to step out and vote.
Ranbir’s gesture highlighted his sense of responsibility as a citizen and how actors can use their influential status to appeal to the public. The actor aced the casual look in a blue-and-white checked shirt and a white t-shirt.
Ranbir Kapoor Urges Citizens To Vote
While talking to the media, Ranbir said that voting is not just a right but also a duty of every citizen. He added that people often complain about the problems in Mumbai, and elections are the time to make a choice and be heard. Urging everyone to step out, he appealed to citizens to come forward and participate in the voting process.
Ranbir also took a moment to thank the BMC, saying that year after year, whether during Ganpati Utsav or election days, the civic body ensures smooth arrangements and good facilities for citizens. He expressed gratitude towards them and emphasised that such efforts deserve appreciation.

Kareena Kapoor And Saif Ali Khan Cast Their Votes
Just like Ranbir Kapoor, his cousin Kareena Kapoor Khan was spotted at the polling booth with her husband, Saif Ali Khan. Keeping it simple and fuss-free, Saif opted for a black T-shirt and jeans that he accessorised with a cap, and goggles. Kareena, on the other hand, looked effortlessly casual in a full-sleeved high-neck top and jeans. She completed her look with sunglasses.

Apart from Kareena, Saif and Ranbir, Rakesh Roshan, Akshay Kumar, Twinkle Khanna, Suniel Shetty, Tamannaah Bhatia, Hema Malini, Vishal Dadlani, Nana Patekar and Gulzar were seen casting their vote in Mumbai. Several celebrities urged the public to come out in large numbers and participate in the municipal polls.
The counting of votes for the BMC elections will take place on January 16.
