Riteish Deshmukh, Vivek Oberoi, and Aftab Shivdasani are back with Mastiii 4, the fourth installment of the well-known adult comedy franchise. While the film failed to pull audiences to theatres, it is now set
for its digital debut.
According to reports by Times Entertainment, Mastiii 4 will start streaming on Zee5 from January 16, 2026. Viewers with an active subscription can watch the film online from the comfort of their homes.
About the Film and Star Cast
Directed by Milap Milan Zaveri, Mastiii 4 features a large ensemble cast. Apart from the lead trio, the film also stars Arshad Warsi, Tusshar Kapoor, Nargis Fakhri, Ruhii Singh, Shreya Sharma, Shaad Randhawa, Elnaaz Norouzi, Natalia Janoszek, and Tara Sumner.
The film hit theatres on November 21, 2025. Despite high expectations, the makers could not recreate the success of the earlier Masti films, mainly due to weak content and repetitive humour.
Box Office Performance and CBFC Certification
Mastiii 4 was made on a reported budget of Rs 40 crore but earned only around Rs 15 crore worldwide. This made it the lowest-grossing film in the franchise so far.
The Central Board of Film Certification granted the film an ‘A’ certificate, restricting its theatrical viewing to adults only. The board also asked the makers to mute certain words and remove some scenes before release.
Music Fails to Leave a Mark
The music of Mastiii 4 was composed by Meet Bros and Sanjeev-Darshan, with lyrics by Danish Sabri, Mellow D, Sanjeev Chaturvedi, and Meet Bros. However, the songs failed to create much buzz among the audience.
Legal Trouble Ahead of Digital Release
Ahead of its OTT premiere, Mastiii 4 landed in legal trouble. Content creator Ashish Sharma filed a petition in the Delhi High Court, accusing the makers of copying a comedy sequence from his viral reel ‘Shak Karne Ka Nateeja’.
The court has issued a notice to the filmmakers and asked them to submit their response. The next hearing in the case is expected on January 13. As of now, the makers have not issued any official statement on the matter.
