Music composer Anirudh Ravichander and Sunrisers Hyderabad CEO Kavya Maran are back in the spotlight amid fresh speculation about their reported wedding. After Anirudh’s uncle, veteran actor Y Gee Mahendra,
recently spoke about his nephew heading towards a “big wedding”, a new report has now claimed that the ceremony could take place later this year.
According to the latest buzz, Anirudh and Kavya are reportedly planning a destination wedding in Greece in November. Neither of them, however, has publicly announced an engagement or confirmed the wedding reports so far.

Rumours linking the two have been circulating for some time, but comments from Anirudh’s uncle recently gave the speculation fresh momentum.
Anirudh’s Uncle Hints At A ‘Very Big Wedding’
During an interview with KPT, Y Gee Mahendra congratulated his nephew while discussing his marriage plans.
“I would like to take this moment to congratulate him. He is getting into a very big wedding,” Mahendra said.
While speaking about Kavya, he also praised her ability to manage the responsibilities that come with running an IPL franchise.
“That girl is not just another ordinary girl. She has the capacity to handle such a big team,” he said, referring to Sunrisers Hyderabad.
Mahendra also credited Kavya’s business acumen to her family background. “She has inherited her father’s business genes,” he added.
He went on to describe Anirudh and Kavya as a compatible pair, saying, “They’re a good pair. Both of them should get together and indulge in musical business.”
Despite his remarks, there has been no direct announcement from either Anirudh or Kavya about getting married.
Who Is Kavya Maran?
Kavya Maran is a Chennai-based business executive and one of the most recognisable faces associated with Sunrisers Hyderabad. Her appearances during IPL matches have regularly attracted attention, particularly as she is frequently seen following the team from the stands.
She belongs to the Maran family, which has longstanding interests in media and business. Kavya is the daughter of Sun Group founder and chairman Kalanithi Maran and Kavery Maran, a senior executive within the group.
Her grandfather was former Union minister Murasoli Maran, while politician Dayanidhi Maran is her uncle.
Kavya studied commerce at Stella Maris College in Chennai before completing her MBA at Warwick Business School in the United Kingdom. According to Fortune India, she began working within the Sun TV ecosystem in 2016.
Her involvement with the family’s sporting interests subsequently grew. Kavya became closely associated with Sunrisers Hyderabad, the IPL franchise owned by the Sun Group, and took over as its CEO in 2018.
