The administration of US President Donald Trump has invited political leaders, diplomats and business figures from around the world to join a new “Board of Peace” for Gaza, as part of a US-backed and UN-supported
plan to demilitarise and rebuild the territory after two years of war between Israel and Hamas.
The White House said the initiative includes three linked bodies: a main Board of Peace chaired by Trump, a Palestinian technocratic committee to run day-to-day governance in Gaza, and a Gaza Executive Board with an advisory and support role.
‘Board Of Peace’: Confirmed Members
According to the White House, the main Board of Peace will focus on governance capacity-building, regional relations, reconstruction, investment and large-scale funding.
The confirmed members are:
- US President Donald Trump (chair)
- US Secretary of State Marco Rubio
- Steve Witkoff, Trump’s special negotiator
- Jared Kushner, Trump’s son-in-law
- Tony Blair, former UK prime minister
- Marc Rowan, US billionaire financier
- Ajay Banga, World Bank president
- Robert Gabriel, a Trump aide on the National Security Council
Gaza Administration And Executive Boards
A National Committee for the Administration of Gaza will oversee public services and civil institutions. It will be headed by Ali Shaath, a former Palestinian Authority deputy minister.
The Gaza Executive Board, meant to support governance and service delivery, includes:

- Tony Blair
- Marc Rowan
- Nickolay Mladenov, Bulgarian diplomat
- Sigrid Kaag, UN humanitarian coordinator for Gaza
- Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan
- Ali Al-Thawadi, Qatari diplomat
- General Hassan Rashad, Egypt’s intelligence chief
- Reem Al-Hashimy, UAE minister
- Yakir Gabay, Israeli billionaire
PM Modi’s Invitation
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also been invited to join the initiative. US Ambassador Sergio Gor said on X on Sunday: “Honored to convey POTUS invitation to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to participate in the Board of Peace which will bring lasting peace to Gaza. The Board will support effective governance to achieve stability and prosperity!”
Leaders Who Say They Were Invited
Several world leaders have said they were invited to join the effort, including Albania’s Prime Minister Edi Rama, Argentina’s President Javier Milei, Brazil’s President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, Canada’s Prime Minister Mark Carney, Italy’s Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Jordan’s King Abdullah II, and Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, among others.
