The South Indian International Movie Awards (SIIMA) 2025 turned into a star-studded affair as some of the biggest names in the industry graced the red carpet. Among the many viral moments from the event,
one gesture stood out and won hearts on social media. Actress Sai Pallavi, known for her humility and grace, was seen traditionally greeting veteran actor Kamal Haasan – by touching his feet.
In a video doing the rounds online, Sai Pallavi approached Kamal Haasan with folded hands before bending down to touch his feet, seeking his blessings. The legendary actor, visibly moved by her gesture, blessed her and exchanged a warm smile. Fans praised Sai Pallavi’s display of respect, calling it a reminder of the deep-rooted traditions of the South film industry. Sai Pallavi won big in SIIMA 2025
South Indian International Movie Awards 2025 (SIIMA) awards were announced in Dubai on September 6. Sai Pallavi won big in the Tamil belt, winning the Best Actress award for Amaran.
In the Telugu and Kannada-speaking regions, Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna picked up top acting honours, while Kalki 2898 AD and Gowri scored big in multiple technical and acting slots.
Sai Pallavi plays Sita in Ramayana
Sai Pallavi is all set to make her Bollywood debut as Sita in Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana. Ranbir Kapoor plays Lord Ram in the film and Yash has been roped in to play Ravana.
Eminent teams from both Bollywood and Hollywood have collaborated for the film. Hollywood’s top stunt directors — Terry Notary (Avengers, Planet of the Apes) and Guy Norris (Mad Max: Fury Road, Furiosa) — are choreographing the epic battles between gods and demons. The visual splendour of ancient India is being reimagined by renowned production designers Ravi Bansal (Dune 2, Aladdin, etc) and Ramsey Avery (Captain America, Tomorrowland, etc), delivering an immersive cinematic experience on an unprecedented scale.
Directed by Nitesh Tiwari and produced by Namit Malhotra’s Prime Focus Studios along with the 8-time Oscar-winning VFX studio DNEG, in association with Yash’s Monster Mind Creations, Ramayana is being filmed for IMAX and will be released worldwide: Part 1 in Diwali 2026 and Part 2 in Diwali 2027.
