Salman Khan and Nayanthara may be coming together for a film titled Monster. The two actors have been roped in for director Vamshi Paidipally’s next, backed by Telugu producer Dil Raju, and a new report
claims that the makers have now locked the title for the action entertainer.
The project will mark Salman’s first film with Dil Raju and is being planned for audiences across multiple languages. While an official title announcement is awaited, the makers are reportedly targeting Eid 2027 for its theatrical release.
Salman Khan-Nayanthara Film Reportedly Titled Monster
According to Filmfare, Monster has been finalised as the title of the Salman and Nayanthara-starrer. An announcement from the production team is expected on social media soon.
Vamshi Paidipally, known for films including Maharshi and Varisu, is directing the project. It is being developed in Hindi, Telugu and Tamil as a pan-India release.
Dil Raju is presenting the film under the Sri Venkateswara Creations banner, while Shirish, Kuldeep Rathore and Rafi Kazi are attached as co-producers.
Nayanthara will play the female lead opposite Salman. The film brings the two stars together for the first time, though the makers are yet to reveal details about their characters or the story.
Salman Khan Takes On More Stunts After Body Double Suffers Heart Attack
Even as filming progresses, the production has reportedly encountered a setback involving Salman’s body double.
The stunt performer is said to have suffered a heart attack, leaving him temporarily unavailable for the shoot. Salman has subsequently taken on more of the action work himself to prevent the filming schedule from being affected.
“Salman is completely hands-on right now. He doesn’t want the schedule to lose momentum,” a source close to the set was quoted as saying.
With the film expected to contain elaborate action sequences, the production team is also reportedly taking additional precautions. More stunt support is said to be brought in as work continues.
Salman has performed action sequences himself in several of his films, but the reported development means the actor is handling a greater share of the physical work than originally planned.
Salman Khan Has A Packed Schedule Ahead
The shoot comes during a busy stretch for Salman, who has multiple professional commitments lined up.
The actor is expected to return to television in September as the host of Bigg Boss Hindi Season 20. Salman has been closely associated with the reality show for years and will once again take charge of its weekend episodes.
On the film front, he is also awaiting the release of Maatrubhumi, which stars Chitrangda Singh alongside him.
The film had previously made headlines following reports suggesting that it had run into trouble with the Central Board of Film Certification. The makers subsequently dismissed the speculation, clarifying that Maatrubhumi had not even been submitted to the CBFC at the time.
Monster Eyes Eid 2027 Release
If the reported release plan holds, Monster will arrive in theatres around Eid 2027, a festival window that has long been associated with some of Salman’s biggest releases.
The film also adds another major multilingual project to Nayanthara’s slate after her expanding work across Tamil, Telugu and Hindi cinema.
For now, Monster remains a reported title. The production team has yet to formally announce the name, release date or further details about the film.
