Kartik Aaryan is one of the busiest actors in Bollywood right now. While he has Anurag Basu’s romantic drama with Sreeleela in his kitty, along with yet another biographical drama with Kabir Khan and Naagzilla
backed by Dharma Productions, there is a report that the actor is meeting Luv Ranjan of late. The actor-director duo are planning to collaborate again following the historic success of the Pyaar Ka Punchnama franchise and Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety.
As per a Bollywood Hungama source, “Luv Ranjan has been keen to partner with Kartik Aaryan for a while now, and the duo have been jamming on multiple subjects over the last six months. After multiple rounds of discussions, they have finally locked in on an exciting idea, which falls right in the world of the Punchnama franchise. Kartik has okayed the script and has tentatively allotted dates from the end of 2026, starting in October.”
The source further shed light on the story of the project and said, “Luv Ranjan is doing what he does best, making a romantic comedy. Earlier, he was planning to make an action film, but all those plans were dropped when he was organically drawn towards a hilarious concept. He started developing it, and the role has turned out perfect for Kartik’s image.”
Kartik Aaryan’s work front
Kartik Aaryan will be playing the role of Preyamvadeshwar Pyare Chand, an ichadaari naag, in Naagzilla. The actor’s first look from the film was released in April 2025. Produced by Karan Johar, Mahaveer Jain, Adar Poonawalla, Apoorva Mehta, Mrighdeep Singh Lamba, and Sujit Jain, Naagzilla promises to be a one-of-a-kind entertainer that blends fantasy, folklore, and full-on fun. The film will hit theatres on August 14, 2026.
Meanwhile, Kartik Aaryan and Sreeleela will be sharing screen space in a musical drama, tentatively titled Tu Meri Zindagi Hai. The film is said to be a classic love story told in Basu’s trademark style, complete with a strong emotional core and soulful music. The source added that the team is currently shooting in Mumbai and will continue till the end of 2025, with final patchwork expected in early 2026. “With the release more than six months away, it gives the team time to weave in some additional tracks,” they shared.
