Suriya and director Venky Atluri, tentatively titled Suriya 46, is already generating strong buzz online. According to the latest reports, the much-anticipated venture may be titled Vishwanadham and Sons,
though an official confirmation from the makers is still awaited. An announcement was made in 2025, and the poster was also shared.
123 Telugu has reported that the makers have locked Vishwanadham and Sons as the final title. And the film is reportedly eyeing a theatrical release in July 2026. The film will explore the relationship between a 45-year-old man and a 20-year-old woman. However, nothing has been made official in this regard till now.
Suriya Begins Shooting For Director Venky Atluri’s Next
In June 2025, the makers made announcement. Taking to their X handle, Sithata Entertainments shared the poster and wrote, “The first step towards celebration, emotion and entertainment #Suriya46 shoot begins!” The poster features Suriya in a stylish semi-formal get-up, as the text on the poster read, “and the Celebration begins”. Venky Atluri, known for storytelling with emotional heft in Telugu hits like Vaathi and Lucky Baskhar, will also team up with composer G.V. Prakash Kumar. The film also stars Mamitha Baiju of ‘Premalu’ fame alongside Suriya.
India Today reported that Radhika Sarathkumar and Raveena Tandon will be seen in prominent roles alongside Suriya and Mamitha Baiju. Venky Atluri’s ‘Lucky Bhaskar’ was a superhit at the box office upon its release in October 2024, grossing over Rs 110 crore at the worldwide box office. The film featured Dulquer Salmaan and Meenakshi Chaudhary in lead roles.
Naga Vamsi Shares Major Update On Suriya’s Next Film
Earlier, 123 Telugu has quoted Naga Vamsi saying, “The shoot will be completed in a couple of days. Suriya’s role will be on the lines of Sanjay Ramasamy in Ghajini. The movie will explore the relationship between a 45-year-old guy and a 20-year-old girl. The movie shows the rapport between them, the fun moments they share, and also their love. It raises a question of whether two people with such a huge age gap can fall in love.”
Suriya’s last film
Talking about Retro, Suriya starrer has released on OTT platform. Retro hit theatres on May 1 as a gripping gangster drama. In the film, Suriya portrays a character struggling to break free from a violent past. Directed by Karthik Subbaraj, the movie has garnered positive reviews, with critics especially lauding Suriya’s powerful performance.
