director Arun Anirudhan has now clarified whether the much-discussed collaboration has anything to do with Shaktimaan. Is Allu Arjun’s Film With Basil Joseph Shaktimaan?
In a conversation with Club FM 94.3, Athiradi director Arun Anirudhan revealed that he and Minnal Murali co-writer Paulson Skaria had worked on the screenplay of Shaktimaan for Basil Joseph’s next directorial. However, he clarified that the upcoming project involving Allu Arjun is not connected to Shaktimaan.
Arun said, “Paulson and I were writing the screenplay for Basil’s next directorial. Unfortunately, it did not go on the floors. It was supposed to be a massive film… Shaktimaan. I do not know whether it will happen or not; it is quite complicated.”
When asked whether Basil attended Allu Arjun’s brother Allu Sirish’s wedding because of a possible collaboration, Arun explained that the two are in touch after Allu Arjun watched and liked Minnal Murali.
He said, “Allu Arjun invited him. He has seen Minnal Murali, he liked it, and they are in touch.”
The director further clarified that Shaktimaan was never pitched to Allu Arjun. He added, “No… no. This has no connection with Shaktimaan. That is something different, and all updates will be shared soon.”

Allu Arjun’s Upcoming Films
On the work front, Allu Arjun is currently shooting for Raaka. Directed by Atlee, the upcoming big-budget film is expected to explore a “parallel universe” concept and stars Deepika Padukone as the female lead.
The actor has also confirmed his next project, tentatively titled AA23 or LK07. The action entertainer will be directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj.
