Farah Khan and her cook Dilip have become an unlikely YouTube sensation, their travel vlogs brimming with laughter, witty banter, and comic misadventures. In their latest episode, the duo jetted off to
Delhi for a special meet-up with none other than Shark Tank India star and former BharatPe MD, Ashneer Grover, who now hosts the TV reality show Rise and Fall.
“Who’s taking whom?”
The chaos began right at the announcement. With childlike excitement, Dilip looked at the camera and declared, “I am going to Delhi and I am taking [Farah] ma’am along with me. I am going to shoot.” Farah, visibly baffled, snapped back with mock irritation, “Dilip? Are you taking me with you or am I taking you with me? Those are my bags! What have you brought? Where is your ticket?”
When Dilip sheepishly admitted that he didn’t even have a ticket, Farah burst into laughter and gave him a reality check: “That’s because it’s with me, and I am taking you to Delhi.”
Airport drama
The hilarity continued at the airport lounge, where Dilip was promptly stopped by ground staff. “Excuse me sir, your ticket is economy. You can’t be here. You’ll have to go out,” they told him. Panicking, Dilip ran to Farah for help: “Ma’am, they’re not letting me in!” Without missing a beat, Farah deadpanned, “I don’t know this man,” and breezed into the lounge as the guards escorted Dilip out.
At the Grovers’ residence
In Delhi, Farah introduced Dilip to Ashneer’s wife, Madhuri Grover. But Dilip left everyone stunned with his accidental faux pas: “She looks different from what I had seen.” A startled Farah demanded, “Where did you see her?” Dilip innocently replied, “In the song ‘Ek Do Teen’,” mistaking Madhuri Grover for Bollywood icon Madhuri Dixit. The room erupted in laughter.
Ashneer on Doglapan
The conversation soon veered toward Ashneer Grover’s trademark catchphrase, doglapan. With a smirk, Ashneer revealed he had actually trademarked the word. “Every time you say doglapan, you’ll have to pay me Rs 50,000. I also charge people who actually do doglapan,” he joked. Farah immediately quipped, “If that’s the case, phir toh Dilip kangaal ho jayega!”
Dilip’s first salary revelation
Adding to the fun, Ashneer’s mother revealed a lesser-known fact about Dilip: “Dilip told us he first came to Delhi for a job that paid just Rs 300.” Farah quickly added her own punchline: “And when he joined me, his salary was Rs 20,000. Don’t ask me what he earns now!”
A thoughtful surprise
The visit wrapped up on a warm note as the Grovers showered their guests with gifts. Farah received outfits and handcrafted décor pieces, while Dilip was given a crisp new shirt. Never one to miss an opportunity to tease, Farah ribbed him again: “Dilip, most of your shirts are gifted by others!”
