Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna are currently in Udaipur, where their pre-wedding festivities have already begun. After a special Japanese dinner for the guests and a volleyball and cricket match,
the couple hosted a grand sangeet ceremony on Tuesday night. While no photos from the ceremony have been shared on social media as of now, a new report has revealed that a sweet moment that took place at the event.
As reported by India Today, Vijay Deverakonda’s mother, Madhavi Deverakonda, gifted heirloom bangles to Rashmika as per tradition during the sangeet night. “In a heartfelt gesture, Vijay’s mother will present Rashmika with traditional heirloom bangles during the sangeet ceremony, symbolising acceptance, love and family legacy,” a source cited by the news portal claimed.
Vijay And Rashmika’s Love Story
Vijay and Rashmika’s journey started in 2018 on the sets of Geetha Govindam, a romantic drama that became a box office hit and introduced audiences to their effortless chemistry. The film’s success catapulted them into one of Telugu cinema’s most loved onscreen pairs.
They reunited the following year for Dear Comrade, further cementing their popularity as a dynamic duo. While their performances won hearts, it was their off-screen camaraderie that kept fans intrigued.
Over the years, the two were frequently seen together — at dinner outings, vacations and industry gatherings — yet remained tight-lipped about their relationship. In interviews, both described each other as close friends, neither confirming nor denying romance.
‘VIROSH’ Wedding Announced
On February 22, the couple took to their respective Instagram stories section and confirmed their wedding. “Our Dearest loves, Before we made any plans, before we chose anything for ourselves, you were already there. With so much love, you gave us a name. You called us ‘VIROSH’. So today, with full hearts, we name our coming together in your honour. We would like to name it, ‘The Wedding of VIROSH’. Thank you for holding us with so much love. You are a part of us, always. Biggest hugs and full love!” they wrote.
Reports also suggest that the couple has decided to keep the wedding private, with only close family and friends in attendance. Insiders say they have chosen not to invite members of the film industry to maintain an intimate celebration. However, following their Udaipur wedding, the couple plans a grand reception in Hyderabad on March 4, reportedly at Taj Krishna, that will see their friends, colleagues and who’s who from the Telugu film industry in attendance.
