Mammootty has officially announced his next film. The actor revealed that he is teaming up with legendary filmmaker Adoor Gopalakrishnan for a new project titled Padayaatra, reuniting two towering forces
after years.
Mammootty took his Instagram handle and shared the title poster of his next film, “Proudly Presenting The Title Poster of Our Production No.8 “Padayaatra” Directed by Adoor Gopalakrishnan.” One of the fans wrote, “Adutha Award Loading” Another wrote, “Let this walk also be added to the classic range of post, walls and subordinates!”

Mammootty And Mohanlal Starrer Patriot To Release On April 23?
If sources in the industry are to be believed, director Mahesh Narayanan’s eagerly-awaited thriller ‘Patriot’, featuring both superstars of Malayalam cinema Mammootty and Mohanlal, is likely to be released on April 23 this year. Although there has been no official announcement on the release date of the film, sources in the industry say that the film is likely to hit screens on April 23 this year. It may be recalled that on January 4 this year, the makers of the film had announced that the unit had wrapped up the film’s shooting. They wrote,”That’s a wrap. Blood, sweat, belief. #PATRIOT marches on. See you on the Big screen.” They also shared a BTS video of all the stars on the sets on the occasion.
The film, which has triggered huge expectations ever since it was announced, also features acclaimed actors Fahadh Faasil, Kunchacko Boban, Nayanthara, and Revathy in addition to the two Malayalam superstars.
Kalamkaval
The actor was last seen in a suspense thriller Kalamkaval. The ensemble cast includes Meera Jasmine, Gayathri Arun, Vinayakan, Jibin Gopinath and Biju Pappan. Directed by debutant Jithin K Jose, who previously contributed the story for Kurup, the film is backed by significant technical talent. The cinematography is handled by Faisal Ali, editing by Praveen Prabhakar, music by Mujeeb Majeed and production design by Shajie Naduvil. The screenplay is co-written by Jithin and Jishnu Sreekumar.
