The first look of Shahid Kapoor’s upcoming film O Romeo was unveiled on Friday, January 9, setting social media buzzing. Sharing the poster online, Shahid wrote, “Romeo O Romeo where art thou O’ROMEO!” and teased fans with a promise of “a spectacular journey that begins today.”
The excitement only grew the following day when the makers released the film’s teaser. The caption read, “Hai koi aur jaanbaaz? O’Romeo. TEASER OUT NOW. In cinemas 13th Feb, 2026,” further fuelling anticipation among fans.

Directed by Vishal Bhardwaj, O’Romeo is a dark, high-octane action thriller that traces the rise of the underworld in post-Independence Mumbai. The film is reportedly inspired by the life of real-life mobster Hussain Ustara. In the striking first-look poster, Shahid Kapoor appears heavily tattooed and drenched in blood, hinting at the gritty and intense world the film promises to explore.
The film also stars Triptii Dimri, Nana Patekar, Abinash Tiwary, Randeep Hooda, Disha Patani, Shakti Kapoor and others.
Produced by Sajid Nadiadwala under Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment, the film is set to release in cinemas on February 13, 2026, just a day before valentine’s day.
