Veteran Bollywood actor Suniel Shetty, known for his strong screen presence and action-packed roles in the ’90s and 2000s, is now making headlines after a video from a recent public event in Bhopal went
viral. The 64-year-old actor was attending a gathering in Karond when a mimicry performance aimed at recreating his style and dialogue delivery drew a sharp and unfiltered reaction from him. The clip, now circulating widely on social media, shows Shetty openly criticising the artist on stage.
In the clip, Shetty interrupts the artist midway and openly criticises the act. Speaking in Hindi, he is heard saying, “Kab se yeh bhaisaab, Anjali… alag-alag dialogues bol rahe hain, jo mere aavaj mein hai hi nahi. Itna ghatiya mimicry meine kabhi dekha hi nahi hai… Jab Suniel Shetty bolta hai toh, mard ki tarah bolta hai. Yeh bacche ki tarah bol raha tha. Jab mimickry karte ho, toh acchi karni chaiye. Kharab nakal nahi karni chaiye.”

Although the performer tried to explain that he was not attempting a serious impersonation, the actor remained firm in his stance. Shetty added, “Abhi bohot time hai. Suniel Shetty banne mein tujhe bohot time lagega. Sirf baal baandhne se kuch nahi hota, baccha hai. Suniel Shetty ki action films dekhi nahi isne, warna kabhi bole toh azma bhi sakta hoon.”
On the work front, Suniel Shetty continues to remain active on screen. He was last seen in Kesari Veer and the second season of Hunter. His upcoming projects include Welcome to the Jungle and the highly awaited Hera Pheri 3. In an earlier chat with the Sai Safar YouTube channel, the actor reassured fans that the third installment in the franchise would stay true to its core, which everyone can watch together.
Suniel Shetty said, “It’s going to be the same family entertainer like the earlier two parts, which will make you laugh only and you can enjoy with your whole family members without any hesitation.”
Not just that, he added, “This is a family film. Perhaps the kind you can all watch together. Once you switch on the TV, there’s no need to worry or feel awkward. You know people are only going to laugh. There’s no need to watch it in secret on TV or mobile.”
