The trailer of Ranveer Singh starrer Dhurandhar was unveiled by the makers today. The film, directed by Aditya Dhar, also stars Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, Akshaye Khanna, R Madhavan, and Sara Arjun. Back
in July, when the first look of the film was released, Ranveer and Sara Arjun’s 20-year age-gap had become a topic of discussion and led to social media debate. Now, at the trailer launch event of Dhurandhar, Ranveer talked about working with 20-year-old Sara Arjun, and called her a ‘prodigy’. He thanked her for making him look better in the film.

At the trailer launch event of Dhurandhar, Ranveer said, “Sara, I can’t believe we are here on this stage. What a special moment for you. I’m honoured to be part of it, I’m lucky to be part of such a special moment for you. Sara here is a prodigy. Aapko pata chalega, kuchh log hote hain naa, matlab bachpan se hi aapko pata hai ki, they are just like a child prodigy. Like ek baar Dakota Fanning aayi thi Hollywood mein. I think, Sara, it’s testament to the fact that you beat thousands of other candidates to land this part. And it’s as if you were born to do this.”

He further added, “Aise lagta hai yeh 50 films karke aayi hain. She’s so precocious as a person, as a performer. You are one of the finest actors that I have shared screen with. You make me look better and my heartfelt gratitude for that. I just can’t believe that it’s your first film. Obviously, you know, somebody who I love and respect a lot, Mr Mani Ratnam sir, you have acted in his films as well, and you have showed your potential and this is where the world will see you, on the big stage. I’m really really happy and I’m very very proud of you. Thank you, Sara.”
Who Is Ranveer Singh’s 20-Year-Old Co-Star Sara Arjun?
Sara Arjun, born on June 18, 2005, began her career in advertisements as a toddler, appearing in over 100 TV commercials by the time she was five. Sara became a household name with her debut film Deiva Thirumagal (2011), a Tamil drama where she starred alongside actor Vikram. At just six years old, her portrayal of Nila, the daughter of a man with special needs, moved audiences and critics alike.
She then branched out into Hindi, Malayalam, and Telugu films. She was seen in Ek Thi Daayan, 404, Jazbaa, and The Song of Scorpions in Hindi, and also played pivotal roles in Tamil hits like Saivam, Sillu Karupatti, and Mani Ratnam’s epic duology Ponniyin Selvan: I & II, where she played a younger version of Aishwarya Rai’s character.
