Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps on Tuesday said that it will “determine the end of the war”. The development came in response to the US President Donald Trump’s statement in which he said that the conflict
in Iran would end “soon”.
Responding to Trump, Iran’s Revolutionary Guards said that they will be the ones who ‘determine the end of the war’.
“It is we who will determine the end of the war,” the IRGC said in a statement.
“The equations and future status of the region are now in the hands of our armed forces; American forces will not end the war,” the statement added.
Trump Says War With Iran ‘Very Complete’
Hinting towards the end of the conflict in West Asia, US President Donald Trump said the US-Israeli war with Iran was “very complete” and “pretty much” over, adding that the American military was “very far” ahead of his initial 4-5 week estimated time frame.
“I think the war is very complete, pretty much. They have no navy, no communications, they’ve got no air force. Their missiles are down to a scatter. Their drones are being blown up all over the place, including their manufacturing of drones. If you look, they have nothing left. There’s nothing left in a military sense,” Trump told CBS News.
Additionally, Trump also said that he was thinking about taking control of the Strait of Hormuz and threatened Iran if it tries to block shipments across the waterway.
“They’ve shot everything they have to shoot, and they better not try anything cute or it’s going to be the end of that country…If they do anything bad, that would be the end of Iran and you’d never hear the name again,” he added.
