The Delhi Police have now arrested five people after registering an FIR over a viral video showing dangerous stunts by speeding cars on city roads. Four vehicles allegedly used in the incident have also
been seized, officials said.
The video, which appeared on social media platform X, showed several cars racing along the Ring Road, swerving through traffic and zigzagging between lanes. Some passengers were seen standing out of sunroofs and windows, shouting as the vehicles passed other motorists.
Police said the video came to their notice on December 27 and was recorded around 10.44 pm on December 26. The cars were travelling from the ITO stretch towards Sarai Kale Khan and Noida.

Taking note of the seriousness of the act, police registered a case under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Motor Vehicles Act. During the investigation, five accused were apprehended on Sunday and four vehicles were recovered.
The arrested men have been identified as Almas Arshad (20), Sarfaraj (26), Mohd Imran Qureshi (23), Mohd Shabbir (23) and Saad Abdullah (22), all residents of Delhi.
Delhi Traffic Police earlier responded to the post and advised people to report such incidents to the nearest police station or call emergency number 112. A senior officer said the arrests showed the police’s commitment to road safety and warned that strict action would be taken against violators. Further investigation is ongoing.
