Bumrah trolls Axar, fans can’t stop laughing!

Jasprit Bumrah and Axar Patel showed off their close friendship on Instagram with some light-hearted banter in the comments section of the latter’s post.

It was a promotional video where Axar acted in different

scenes. Bumrah, who comes from the same state, was one of the first to comment on it, saying: “kidney touching acting 😂😂😂🙌🏾🙌🏾”. It was a sarcastic take on the phrase ‘heart-touching’ and drew a lot of laughter from his fans in the replies.

Axar took the joke on the chin and went one step further, replying, “Thanks a lot bro next time my acting will touch your toes 🫣🫂”

This is not the first instance of them poking fun at each other in public. IPL cameras have recorded their post-match interactions, and there have been other social media comments too, showing the funny side of their friendship. But it has been backed by positive praises too, with Bumrah often speaking about Axar’s all-round value. Last year, Axar had called the pacer ‘world class’, saying he has never required much input.

“Obviously, Jasprit Bumrah is a world-class bowler, and you know that with the quality of bowlers we have on our side – we can get out of a tough situation,” Axar had said. “… I don’t think anyone talks much about Bumrah’s bowling (in the dressing room). He has an idea of what to do and what not to do. So I think when it is going so well, I don’t think the bowling coach is giving so much input that there is some confusion in his mind. He just says that you are doing well; whatever thinking you are doing is also going well.”

Bumrah and Axar will reunite for India in the upcoming five-T20I series in Australia, which starts on Wednesday (October 29). The pacer was rested from the ODI leg, which India lost 2-1.
