In July, Rashmika Mandanna suffered a hip injury during the shoot of her action thriller Mysaa, after which she was recovering at home. Now, weeks later, the actress is all set to resume work. In a recent
chat with Hindustan Times, she shared an update about her health. She said that while the doctors cleared her to return to work within a week, she chose to resume in a day as her film Ranabaali is up for release soon, and she still has a few days of shoot left. Meanwhile, speaking about her injury break, the actress revealed that it gave her and Vijay Deverakonda much-needed time together.
Rashmika Mandanna Shares Health Update
While doctors had advised Rashmika Mandanna that she could get back to work within a week, she decided not to wait that long. She is returning to the Hyderabad sets of Ranabaali, which is nearing its release and has around 10 days of filming still pending. With two more projects lined up after that, she admitted that her packed schedule is already making her feel anxious.
“I’m resuming the shoot for Ranabaali in Hyderabad because it’s up for release soon and I have 10 days of shoot left. I have two other films to shoot after that; I have my months planned, and I’m getting anxious looking at my calendar,” she said.
Rashmika Mandanna On How She Spent The Break
She further revealed that during the break, she caught up on sleep, spent time with her family, and solved puzzles, and she will miss these things once she resumes work.
She further added that the break also gave her more time with her husband Vijay Deverakonda, as they had been very busy since their wedding in February this year.
Rashmika On Spending More Time With Vijay Deverakonda
“We didn’t get to see each other for three months after the wedding; we would just speak on the phone. This was the universe’s way of saying, calm down, I will keep you at home now. This is the most time we have spent together and it was strange but nice. He likes watching serious shows and K-dramas are my thing, so now we watch both. I have managed to convert him already,” she said.
Rashmika said Vijay also enjoyed spending time together during the break and would like them to have more such time together. However, he joked that next time, it should happen without an injury. “Vijay says, ‘Let’s have more of this, but next time without an injury!’” she said.
She further added, “It didn’t feel like I was unwell because I don’t like to depend on anyone to help me. I cant just be on the bed, waiting for someone to help me get off it. I like to believe I’m fit to do things by myself. So I had a good time making memories with the family.”
