Giorgia Meloni captioned the post, “Thank you for the gift,” and the video shows her telling the world what PM Modi got her as a gift, leaving them both bursting into laughter. In the video, Meloni said, “Prime Minister Modi brought us a gift… a very, very good toffee,” to which PM Modi replied, “Melody,” as the two leaders showed the packet of toffee.

The term “Melodi” had earlier gone viral online following a bilateral meeting between the two leaders last year, with social media users combining their names into a popular hashtag. Sharing the post on X, Meloni wrote, “Hi friends, from #Melodi.”
PM Modi later responded to the post, saying, “Long live India-Italy friendship!”
In 2023, a selfie featuring PM Modi and Giorgia Meloni on the sidelines of the COP28 climate summit in Dubai had also gone viral across social media platforms.
Sharing the image at the time, Meloni wrote, “Good friends at COP28. #Melodi.”
