As anticipation builds around Imtiaz Ali’s upcoming film Main Vaapas Aaunga, the team is set to mark a special moment at the Attari Border with a musical tribute dedicated to the Border Security Force.
Titled Jai Ho – A Tribute To The Bravehearts, the event will see Padma Bhushan awardee, two-time Academy Award and Grammy Award-winning composer A.R. Rahman perform at the iconic Attari Border on June 7. The tribute has been planned as a salute to the courage, sacrifice and unwavering commitment of the BSF personnel who guard India’s borders.
A.R. Rahman To Perform At Attari Border
The special performance will take place between 4:30 PM and 5:30 PM during the iconic Parade Ceremony at JCP Stadium, Attari Border. With music, patriotism and emotion coming together, the event is expected to be a memorable tribute to the men and women of the BSF.
Rahman will be joined at the event by Main Vaapas Aaunga director Imtiaz Ali, actor Vedang Raina and singers from the film, including Mohit Chauhan, Pooja Tiwari and Nargis. Representatives of Birla Studios, Applause Entertainment and producer Mohit Choudhary will also be present.
The symbolic value of the event is significant, as Main Vaapas Aaunga revisits the Partition era, a period deeply tied to the history, memory and emotional geography of the India-Pakistan border. By returning to Attari Border for this tribute, the team hopes to honour not only the nation’s armed forces but also the spirit of resilience associated with the region.
Main Vaapas Aaunga Team To Honour BSF Jawans
The tribute, being organised by the team of Main Vaapas Aaunga, is described as a heartfelt expression of gratitude towards BSF jawans for their service and sacrifice. The performance aims to acknowledge the bravery of those who dedicate their lives to protecting the country, often in difficult and demanding circumstances.
With Jai Ho already associated with national pride and global recognition, Rahman’s performance at the Attari Border is expected to add emotional weight to the film’s promotional journey.
About Main Vaapas Aaunga
Directed by Imtiaz Ali, Main Vaapas Aaunga has been generating curiosity for its Partition-era backdrop and emotional premise. The film brings together music, history and human emotion, with A.R. Rahman attached to the project’s musical landscape.
As the film’s release draws closer, the Attari Border tribute is expected to become one of the most powerful promotional moments for the team, placing the film’s themes of memory, nationhood and return in direct conversation with one of India’s most symbolic border locations.
