The Asia Cup 2025 is all set to begin on September 9 in Abu Dhabi, with Team India, led by Suryakumar Yadav, starting their campaign on September 10 against the United Arab Emirates at the Dubai International
Cricket Stadium. While players can earn huge amounts for their performances, the prize money for the winning team is still far less than the value of one luxury item owned by Hardik Pandya.
During a recent training session, Pandya was seen wearing a Richard Mille RM 27-04 watch, which, as per Watch Spotter, is worth Rs 18 Crore. This watch is a special edition made in collaboration with tennis star Rafael Nadal. Only 50 of these watches exist worldwide, making it one of the rarest and most exclusive timepieces ever created.
What Is The Watch?
The Richard Mille RM 27-04 is a very advanced and lightweight watch, weighing only 30 grams including the strap, yet it is extremely strong. Its special movement is suspended inside the case and can handle forces over 12,000 g’s, setting a record for the brand. The movement is supported by a tiny mesh made from a steel cable that is held in place with gold tensioners. The watch was created through a collaboration with tennis star Rafael Nadal. The sports personalities describe their relationship as very special, built on mutual trust and respect for each other’s work.
Asia Cup Prize Money
The Asia Cup 2025 will continue until September 28. Reports suggest that the winning team is expected to receive around USD 300,000 (approximately Rs 2.6 Crore), while the runners-up will earn USD 150,000. Although the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) has not yet confirmed the prize money officially, these amounts are believed to be higher than those offered in the previous edition.
Team India’s squad for the Asia Cup includes Suryakumar Yadav as captain and Shubman Gill as vice-captain, along with key players Abhishek Sharma, Tilak Varma, Hardik Pandya, Shivam Dube, Axar Patel and Jitesh Sharma as wicketkeeper. The bowling lineup features Jasprit Bumrah, Arshdeep Singh, Varun Chakravarthy, Kuldeep Yadav, Harshit Rana, while Sanju Samson also joins as a wicketkeeper and Rinku Singh completes the squad.
