Kartik Aaryan is currently shooting for his next project with Kabir Khan. Unfortunately, the actor suffered a major injury on the sets during an intense action sequence. He was given immediate medical
attention. Needless to say, Kartik had to halt shooting for a while. More details about his health are awaited as his team is yet to issue a statement.
According to India Today, the actor was injured during the final two days of the shoot. Kartik had been training with action coaches before the shoot as the scenes required him to do physically demanding work. As per the report, Kartik is currently admitted to Fortis Raheja Hospital. A source close to the film told India Today that doctors are likely to perform knee surgery on the actor soon. The source also said that Kartik will need to rest for a few days after the procedure and will return to work once he has recovered.
The injury is expected to bring a short break to Kartik’s busy schedule. After recovering, he is likely to take a few more days off before beginning work on Anurag Basu’s upcoming untitled film.
Meanwhile, Kartik Aaryan was recently invited by President Droupadi Murmu to attend the prestigious ‘At Home Reception’ on 15th August at Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi. The actor was a part of the high-profile gathering hosted by the President during the 80th Independence Day. Kartik was the only actor from Bollywood to attend the prestigious gathering.
The ‘At Home Reception’ is a formal gathering hosted by the President of India where prominent names from various walks of life, including national leaders, armed forces personnel, sportspersons, artists and notable achievers, come together under a single roof.
This invitation for Kartik has come after he was recently honored with the ‘Best Actor’ title at the 72nd National Film Awards for his performance in Kabir Khan’s much-appreciated sports drama Chandu Champion.
On the work front, Kartik Aaryan turned producer with Dopamine Studios for his upcoming collaboration with Kabir Khan. This is their second project together. Next up, fans will see him in Naagzilla, directed by Mrighdeep Singh Lamba. He will also act in Captain India.
