the second song from the film, Usey Kehna, is out now. The heart-wrenching song, with its lyrics and emotions of quest and heartbreak, opens a chapter of its intense love story and hits the right chord.
With heartfelt lyrics by Irshad Kamil and vocals by Nitesh Aher and Jonita Gandhi, the song feels both timeless and intensely personal in Rahman’s inimitable style. The song also shares new, intense glimpses featuringDhanush and Kriti Sanon, offering poignant moments of the film’s evolving love story, highlighting Mukti’s (Kriti Sanon) emotional journey and deepening the emotional connection between the two leads.
As the song was released, fans began reacting to it. Talking about the song, music maestro A. R. Rahman shared the inspiration behind the melody: “This next song, Usey Kehna, was inspired from when we travelled to Himachal and witnessed the reflection of the mountains in the Ganges. Everything around inspired the creation of the melody, inspiring our team—Aanand L. Rai, Irshad Kamil, Himanshu—and it evolved into something that is just the bare minimum of piano, strings, and a newfound voice of Nitesh. I hope people enjoy it and feel the same way we felt creating it.”

In July, the shoot was completed. Taking to his Instagram stories, Aanand L. Rai shared a team photo showing everyone enjoying the party. In January, the makers of the film released a teaser showcasing Kriti Sanon in an enigmatic avatar, perfectly embodying the depth, intensity, and complexities of her character. The hauntingly beautiful score promises an unforgettable musical odyssey. Previously, Rai revealed that Tere Ishk Mein shares thematic roots with his 2013 masterpiece Raanjhanaa. “It is from the world of Raanjhanaa, but it’s an expansion rather than an extension. It enhances the emotional depth with a new narrative,” he explained.
