Hours after Salman Khan’s father, Salim Khan, was hospitalised, it has now been reported that the veteran screenwriter is ‘serious’. If a report by Bollywood Hungama is to be believed, Salman has dropped
all his current commitments to be by his father’s side. Reportedly, Salim Saab’s condition is ‘serious’ and therefore, the family is concerned about him.
“Salim saab’s condition is serious. We are all concerned and hoping he would get back home the soonest,” a close friend of Salman told the entertainment portal. However, it should be noted that neither the hospital nor the Khan family has issued any official statement regarding Salim Khan’s hospitalisation or health status as of now.
Salim Khan was admitted to Mumbai’s Lilavati Hospital on Tuesday morning. His son, superstar Salman Khan, was seen at the hospital earlier today. The Battle of Galwan actor was photographed exiting the premises wearing a basic black T-shirt and a cap, surrounded by his security personnel. He did not stop to speak to the media. Later, Salim’s other children, including Arbaaz Khan, Alvira Khan and Arpita Khan, were also spotted arriving at the hospital.
Meanwhile, fans have taken to social media to express concern and send wishes for his speedy recovery. Salim Khan, who is aged 90, is regarded as one of the most influential screenwriters in Hindi cinema history.
Salim Khan rose to prominence as one half of the legendary Salim–Javed duo, alongside writer Javed Akhtar. Together, they redefined mainstream Hindi cinema in the 1970s with a string of iconic films. Among their most celebrated works is Sholay, widely considered one of the greatest Indian films ever made. The duo also penned blockbusters such as Deewaar, Zanjeer, and Don, films that helped shape the “angry young man” era of Bollywood. Their writing not only changed storytelling patterns but also elevated the status of screenwriters in the industry.
