Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal on Thursday hosted US Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick and US Ambassador to India Sergio Gor for talks focused on strengthening bilateral trade and economic
ties.

US Ambassador Sergio Gor also shared details of the meeting, which took place over lunch. “A highly productive lunch with @howardlutnick and @PiyushGoyal. So many areas of cooperation for our two nations!” he wrote on X.
A day earlier, Gor met IBM CEO Arvind Krishna at the US Embassy. “Enjoyed hosting Arvind Krishna at the US Embassy today. IBM continues to lead the world in technology advancement, a great bridge between the US and India,” he said in a post.
Gor also hosted a dinner at the Chief of Mission’s Residence in New Delhi, attended by global leaders and industry heads, including FedEx CEO Raj Subramanian, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, Croatia Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic, Bhutan Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay, Piyush Goyal and Bharti Airtel Chairman Sunil Bharti Mittal, among others.
Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy was also present and highlighted the state’s industrial policy, infrastructure and investment opportunities in sectors such as technology, artificial intelligence, logistics, advanced manufacturing and green energy.
