As promotions for Mardaani 3 officially begin, Rani Mukerji is already making a strong style statement. Known for her deep respect for tradition as much as her willingness to experiment with fashion, the
actor stepped out in Mumbai on January 19 in an all-black ensemble that perfectly balanced strength, elegance, and contemporary flair.
For the appearance, Rani opted for a sleek bodysuit paired with dramatic flared trousers. Fashion insiders revealed that her look featured pieces from two international labels—the structured bodysuit from California-based L’Agence and the statement trousers from New York–based Awake NY.
The black bodysuit came with a sharp collared neckline and gold buttons running down the front. Rani left a few buttons undone, creating a plunging neckline that added a subtle edge to the otherwise classic silhouette. Designed to hug the body, the ribbed fabric, full-length sleeves, and clean tailoring highlighted her frame while keeping the look refined.

What truly elevated the outfit, however, were the trousers. The high-waisted, dramatically flared pants sat just below the bust, creating a striking elongated silhouette. With a relaxed fit and a floor-grazing hemline, the structured design brought a bold, almost architectural quality to the ensemble making it both modern and commanding.
Accessories were kept minimal yet impactful. Rani chose elegant pieces from Van Cleef & Arpels, including delicate gold earrings accented with black stones, a coordinating bracelet, rings, and layered bangles. The jewellery added just the right amount of polish without overpowering the look.
For hair and makeup, the actor embraced understated glamour. She wore her hair loose in a centre parting, allowing the outfit to remain the focal point. Her makeup leaned towards a fresh, dewy aesthetic, glossy brown lips, soft neutral eye shadow, lightly flushed cheeks, defined lashes, feathered brows, and a luminous base completed the look.

On the work front, Mardaani 3, produced by Yash Raj Films, marks Rani Mukerji’s return as the fearless cop Shivani Shivaji Roy. The third instalment of the popular franchise follows her character on a mission to rescue missing girls across India. The film is set to release in theatres on January 30, and if Rani’s promotional style is anything to go by, the countdown has officially begun.
