Lucknow, May 17 (PTI) A 12-year-old boy allegedly drowned in a pond while bathing in a village in the Bakshi Ka Talab area here on Sunday, police said.
The deceased was identified as Samar Kanojia, a resident
of Sarkpur Saraiya village.
According to police, Samar had gone to bathe in a pond located near his house at around noon when he drowned.
Police said the boy was brought dead to hospital by his family members, following which a police team reached the hospital and spoke to the victim’s father, Nanhelal.
Family members did not express any suspicion over the incident and submitted a written request refusing post-mortem examination, police said.
After completing the necessary formalities, the body was handed over to the family members, they added. PTI CDN NB NB
