Sidharth Malhotra just gave fans a sneak peek into his next big project, VVAN – Force of the Forest. On Wednesday, the actor shared a behind-the-scenes glimpse straight from the film’s set. Taking to his Instagram
stories, he dropped a striking photo of himself seemingly from the shoot, looking focused and determined.
Along with the picture, he wrote, “The gaze that wanders through the forest.” The mysterious caption blends perfectly with the film’s mythological horror theme.
Vvan: Force of the Forest is generating significant buzz as it brings together Sidharth Malhotra and Tamannaah Bhatia in a gripping tale set against the backdrop of an ancient forest. Sidharth Malhotra announced the project last year via an intriguing post where he wrote on Instagram, “Excited to be part of this folk thriller, with a powerhouse team, directed by Arunabh Kumar and Deepak Mishra. Can’t wait for you all to experience ‘VVAN – Force of the forrest’ on the big screen in 2025… Coming On Chhath, 2025.”

Sidharth Malhotra Commences Filming
In a post on Instagram stories, Sidharth shared a close-up of the film’s clapboard, revealing the title VVAN and the shoot date — June 9, which marked the first day of filming. Directed by Deepak Mishra and Arunabh Kumar, and produced by Shobha Kapoor, Ektaa R Kapoor and Arunabh Kumar, the film is a joint production venture of Balaji Motion Pictures and The Viral Fever (TVF).
Set in the dense, mythical heartlands of Central India, VVAN is rooted in Indian folklore and is being shot in real forest locations to ensure authenticity and depth.
Scheduled for a theatrical release on May 15, 2026, the film is touted to be packed with powerful storytelling, stellar performances and rich Indian mythology.
Sidharth Malhotra In Param Sundari
Sidharth was last seen in Param Sundari with Janhvi Kapoor. The film, directed by Tushar Jalota and produced by Dinesh Vijan under the Maddock Films banner, opened to mixed reviews but failed to leave an impressive mark. Set against the scenic backdrop of Kerala, the film is a cross-cultural love story that revolves around a North Indian man and a South Indian woman.
