Fans React
Needless to say, fans went gaga over his look from Battle Of Galwan sets in Ladakh. “Theatre me aag laga dena hai,” commented one fan, while another one already called it a “Blockbuster.” A third comment read, “Bhai Again In Form.”
Battle Of Galwan Shoot
India Today recently reported that Salman is gearing up for one of the most important shooting schedules of the film. The team will film in climax sequences in Leh and Ladakh over the next 2-3 weeks. A source told the news portal, “Galwan’s climax is among the most important parts of the film, both visually and emotionally. Given Leh and Ladakh’s unpredictable weather, the makers want to ensure the quality of these sequences is not compromised. That is why they are planning to complete as much as possible during this schedule itself.”
Meanwhile, in July, Salman treated fans to a striking first glimpse that offered a visceral and patriotic preview of what promises to be one of Khan’s most intense roles yet. The motion poster revealed him in a rugged, battle-hardened avatar — his face bloodied, adorned with a proud moustache, and his eyes burning with fierce determination. With no dialogues and just the swelling soundscape of military tension, the visual sets the tone for a film rooted deeply in valour, sacrifice, and national pride.
Salman Khan’s Prep
Salman Khan underwent intense training and prep for this role. A source earlier mentioned, “Given the high-altitude challenges of shooting in Leh and the physical demands of portraying a decorated Army officer like Colonel Bikumalla Santosh Babu, Salman has committed to an intense training regimen. He’s not just preparing to carry the weight of the uniform – he’s carrying the weight of the story. The AK-47 he’ll be seen with is symbolic, but the real test is enduring the thinner air, long shoots, and rugged terrain. This prep isn’t just physical; it’s about doing justice to a national hero.”
The source further mentioned, “Salman is approaching this role with utmost sincerity. He understands the responsibility of portraying someone like Colonel Babu – it’s not just about getting the physicality right; it’s about honouring a legacy. He’s training not just for the camera, but out of respect for every soldier who serves the nation.”
About Battle Of Galwan
Directed by Apoorva Lakhia, the film revisits the harrowing 2020 Galwan Valley clash between Indian and Chinese troops, a rare border skirmish that turned deadly without any firearms being used. Instead, soldiers resorted to hand-to-hand combat with sticks and stones, making it one of the most emotionally charged stories in recent Indian history.
With its stirring subject and powerful cast, Battle of Galwan is poised to be one of the most impactful cinematic tributes to India’s armed forces in recent years.
