A man’s decision to leave Noida and settle in Goa for a quieter life has sparked a wider online debate around city migration and lifestyle choices.
In a video shared online, he talks about his experience
living in Goa for a year, highlighting what he calls a calmer, more relaxed way of life compared to busy cities.
Man Shares Why He Moved To Goa
The video begins with the man saying, “It has been a year since I shifted to Goa from Noida, and this is my experience so far.”
He explains that the move was planned to escape the fast-paced lifestyle of cities. “We moved here from Noida specifically so that we could enjoy a peaceful life. We didn’t want that unnecessary hustle and bustle,” he says.
Talking about his new surroundings, he mentions the clean beaches and scenic sunsets. He adds that living in South Goa has been a pleasant experience so far. According to him, the idea that Goa is only about partying is not entirely true.
“For half the people out there, ‘Goa’ is synonymous with partying and alcohol. But honestly, that’s just one part of the picture,” he says. He also talks about how people in Goa have a more relaxed attitude towards things like drinking, calling it less judgmental compared to other places.
He Also Talks About Safety And Daily Life
The man compares the safety in Goa with his experience in Delhi. He shares an incident where a drunk man created a scene at a nearby beach. “We pointed the situation out to the patrol officers… and within just 10 minutes, the police arrived and took him away,” he says.
He adds that such incidents are rare and that he generally feels safer. He also mentions that the police response in Goa felt quicker compared to what he experienced earlier.
Another reason he enjoys living there is the environment for animals. “We have two cats and two dogs at home, and I just feel that this environment is so much better for them,” he says, adding that locals are supportive and caring towards animals.
While he briefly admits there may be some downsides, he says he prefers to focus on the positives and now considers Goa his home.
Social Media Reacts To The Move
The video drew mixed reactions online. Some users supported the idea of choosing a peaceful life.
“I love when people finally realise that their lives are supposed to be more than just hustle and bustle,” a person wrote.
Others, however, raised concerns about migration. “Don’t bring the entire North India to Goa pls otherwise it will become the next Delhi, Gurgaon, Noida,” a user said.
Another asked, “But are we Goan safe from outsiders moving in here?” while some said they too were thinking of moving to quieter places like their hometowns or the mountains.
