We all know Bengaluru traffic is a nightmare – but this viral Instagram video just proved it in the most hilarious way. Two content creators decided to test how bad it really is by turning it into a race.
One of them took a flight from Bengaluru to Mumbai, while the other took a cab from the airport to J.P. Nagar. The goal? See who reaches first. What sounds like a joke quickly turned into one of the most relatable challenges on the internet.
The video, captioned “I still can’t believe this happened!”, has clocked thousands of views across Instagram and X (formerly Twitter).
“Bangalore Traffic Sucks” – and the Internet Agrees
The clip opens with one of the creators saying, “Bangalore traffic sucks. I don’t think so. I’m gonna be taking a flight to Mumbai,” as his friend replies, “And I’m driving to J.P. Nagar.” The duo then begin their race – one boarding a flight across states, the other stuck navigating the city’s infamous gridlock.
The traveller narrates how he breezed through airport security, grabbed some food, and waited to board. Meanwhile, his friend spent eight minutes just finding his parked car before hitting the road – straight into a wall of traffic.
“I was stuck in Hebbal for almost 45 minutes,” he says, showing cars barely moving. At one point, he jokes, “I’m walking faster than my car.” By the time traffic started clearing and he was 20 minutes away from J.P. Nagar, the other creator had already landed in Mumbai.
“Bro, I reached,” one says on the call. The other replies in disbelief, “You reached? I can’t believe you’re still stuck in traffic.”

Internet Can’t Stop Laughing – and Relating
The comments section is filled with people sharing their own Bengaluru traffic horror stories. One user wrote, “My mom left Kudlu Gate to pick me up from the airport 30 mins before my flight from Kolkata to Bangalore, and she reached about 30 mins after it landed.”
Another said, “Flight to my native is 2 hours, my home to the airport is 3 hours for 30 km.” Someone else added, “This is usual for us.”
“At this point, I think flights should start offering Bengaluru-to-Bengaluru routes — it might actually be faster,” another user joked.
