Indians love to travel, and Vietnam is high on their bucket list. It is pretty inexpensive, offers great views and food, is close enough to travel without multiple layovers and is an international trip
that you can do with family or friends on a budget. In fact, a 2025 survey stated that Vietnam welcomed around 746,000 Indian visitors, marking a strong jump from roughly 169,000 in 2019 and making India its 6th-largest source market.
And now, travelling from Mumbai to Hanoi is set to become more convenient. IndiGo is introducing daily direct flights between the two cities from October 25, 2026. The new route will strengthen air connectivity between India and Vietnam, offering an additional option for leisure and business travellers looking to visit the Vietnamese capital without a connecting flight.
According to the airline’s announcement, the service will complement its existing daily direct flights to Hanoi from Delhi and Kolkata. The new connection is part of IndiGo’s international network expansion and will give travellers from Mumbai and western India another direct route to Vietnam.

IndiGo Expands Its Vietnam Connectivity
The new Mumbai-Hanoi service adds to IndiGo’s existing daily direct flights from Delhi and Kolkata to Vietnam’s capital. Hanoi is known for its historic architecture, cultural attractions, distinctive food scene and role as a commercial centre, making it a destination for both tourists and business travellers.
For travellers from Mumbai, the new service offers a direct alternative to itineraries involving connecting flights. It may also make it easier to plan trips combining Hanoi with other Vietnamese destinations.
With daily flights scheduled to begin soon, those who want to plan a trip to Vietnam should check the new route’s timings, fares and cabin options through IndiGo’s official booking channels.
