Slumping Delhi Capitals welcome upbeat Kolkata Knight Riders to the Arun Jaitely Stadium New Delhi on Friday in an IPL 2026 fixture that could have major implications on the points table as the league
moves towards the business end of the tournament.
Delhi come into the clash placed seventh in the table with 8 points, as they look to address the slump they have been on after having started the tournament in winnings fashion. KKR, on the contrary, placed one place behind DC, with 7 points seem to be on the up after their string of wins following a harrowing start to the season that saw them go winless for a prolonged period of time.
Tristan Stubbs
The South African has been the anchor man for the side form the Capital City this year with his steady knock in the middle of the innings as DC have struggled with notching up wins. Stubbs’ knock have been crucial in the side’s fortunes, and the Protea batter would look to come up with another significant knock to pick up the points.
Mitchell Starc
The Australian seamer joined up with the Delhi ranks after a delay but has been leading the attack since his return. The veteran pacer will look to strike early against Kolkata to give his side impetus as they go in search of a streak-snapping win.
Ashutosh Sharma
The maverick batter hasn’t been given as many caps this year as he wouldn’t have liked, but he has demonstrates flashes of his brilliance and would look to make a statement if called upon agains the resurgent KKR.
Varun Chakravarthy
The wily spinner has come to the fore with the progress of the season towards the business phase with the wickets drying up and offering extra purchase for the bowler. His turn in form has had a massive impact on his side’s resurgence and he would look to replicate his recent form against Delhi.
Angkrish Raghuvanshi
The young Indian batter has as many as three fifties this season and has been a crucial fixture at the top of the Kolkata order. He’d look to continue his good touch and help KKR earn all points on offer.
Rinku Singh
The southpaw has led KKR’s fightback this season by playing starring roles in their recent victories that took them out of the bottom place in the table. The middle-order batter has the potential to take the game away form the opposition and would look to continue his touch on the road.
