Maruti Suzuki recently launched a new midsize SUV- the Victoris. The made-in-India SUV had earlier scored five stars on the Bharat NCAP crash test. Now, it has been given a five star safety rating in the Global
NCAP crash test as well.
This is the second vehicle by Maruti Suzuki to secure a five star safety rating in the GNCAP crash test after the Maruti Suzuki Dzire.
Maruti Suzuki Victoris Safety Score
As per the Hindustan Times, the vehicle registered a score of 31.66 out of 32 points, making it the highest-scoring SUV in India. In terms of front offset, the Victoris recorded 15.66 out of 16 points. It scored full marks in the side impact test. The SUV registered 43 out of 49 points in the child occupant protection category.
The Maruti Suzuki Victoris had a perfect score in child restraint system installation and dynamic test. It won seven out of 13 points when it came to vehicle assessment. The overall Adult Occupant Protection score of the Victoris was an impressive 33.72 out of 34 points, NDTV reported.
Maruti Suzuki Victoris Safety Features
The Victoris features six airbags. The SUV also offers ISOFIX child seat mounts, electronic stability control, and an Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD). The inclusion of Level-2 ADAS features with over 10 intelligent driver-assist features makes the SUV stand apart from its competitors. The features to enhance on-road awareness include lane-keep assist, high-beam assist, blind-spot monitoring, automatic emergency braking, and cruise control with curve speed adjustment, a press release stated.
Maruti Suzuki Victoris: Overall Features
The SUV is available in petrol with Strong Hybrid powertrain in EV mode, ALLGRIP Select (4×4), and eco-friendly S-CNG technology. The Maruti Suzuki Victoris also has a touchscreen SmartPlay Pro X infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay integrated app store.
The sound system has four speakers, two tweeters, a sub-woofer, one centre speaker, and an 8-channel in-built amplifier for enjoyment of music. The Victoris also has a PM2.5 filter with an AQI display as well as an auto purify mode. The vehicle also offers a wireless smartphone charger with an active cooling fan.
With safety becoming a key issue for car owners today, the Victoris is poised to entice buyers with its safety rating and other features.
