For Hrithik Roshan, fitness has never been about shortcuts, and the same philosophy governs what lands on his plate. At 52, the actor’s sculpted longevity is less the result of extremes and more a product
of consistency, precision, and mindful nourishment. Behind this disciplined approach is his personal chef, Shubham Vishwakarma, whose role goes far beyond cooking meals. It’s about translating lifestyle, training demands, and recovery into food that works quietly and effectively.
Speaking to the Indian Express, chef Shubham Vishwakarma talked about working with Hrithik Roshan. According to Vishwakarma, Hrithik’s food choices are deeply intentional. “His approach to life is thoughtful and disciplined, and that reflects directly in his dietary choices. He believes in balance, awareness, and long-term well-being. It is not about extremes — it is about sustainability, recovery, and performance,” he says.

Revealing the diet, Vishwarkarma revealed that the diet itself is clean and quietly sophisticated: lean proteins, seasonal vegetables, complex carbohydrates, healthy fats, and clean flavours form the foundation. Think grilled proteins with subtle marinades, slow-cooked vegetables, nutrient-dense bowls, and light Indian preparations with minimal oil.
Every plate serves a purpose. “Every meal has a purpose, whether it is fuel, repair, or longevity,” Vishwakarma explains. Digestion, energy levels, and muscle recovery are prioritised, especially during intense training phases. Portion control becomes particularly important when performance is at stake. “Portions are carefully measured when required, especially during training or transformation phases. Precision matters when performance is involved,” he sasys.
Hrithik Roshan’s approach to nutrition is a reminder that sustainable health is rarely dramatic. It is quiet, disciplined, and deeply personal – built meal by meal, with intention. In a culture obsessed with quick fixes, his food philosophy reinforces a timeless truth: longevity begins with balance.
