Aamir Khan has married longtime partner Gauri Spratt in an intimate ceremony at his Bandra home in Mumbai. The couple, who have been together for more than two years, exchanged vows on Sunday in the presence
of their families and a small circle of close friends.
A spokesperson for Aamir confirmed to SCREEN that the actor and Gauri are now officially married. The private ceremony was attended by family members, including Aamir’s children from his previous marriages.
Before the wedding began, Aamir’s daughter Ira Khan and son Junaid Khan were seen arriving at the actor’s residence. Filmmaker Ashutosh Gowariker, who directed Lagaan, and actor Elli AvrRam were also spotted joining the celebrations.
A Love Story That Came Full Circle
Although Aamir Khan and Gauri Spratt first met around 25 years ago, their relationship began only in 2024 after they reconnected through Aamir’s cousin, Nuzhat Khan, in Bengaluru, where Gauri was living at the time. The couple spent nearly a year in a long-distance relationship before Aamir introduced Gauri to the media as his “partner” during his 60th birthday celebrations in March 2025.
Gauri later moved from Bengaluru to Mumbai along with her son from a previous marriage. After leaving her role at a haircare company, she joined Aamir Khan Productions and has since been working with the banner, which recently completed 25 years.
A Simple Wedding With Family And Friends
The couple had been living together at Aamir’s Mumbai residence for over a year before deciding to get married. Last month, Aamir confirmed that they had decided to tie the knot. Earlier this week, while attending the premiere of Rajkumar Hirani’s streaming debut Pritam and Pedro, the actor said the wedding would be a registered marriage followed by an intimate celebration with only family members and close friends.
Aamir Khan’s Second Marriage To Filmmaker Kiran Rao
Aamir found love again with director Kiran Rao, whom he met during the making of the Oscar-nominated film Lagaan. Kiran worked as an assistant director on the project, and the two eventually married in December 2005. The couple welcomed their son, Azad Rao Khan, through surrogacy in 2011. After nearly 16 years of marriage, Aamir and Kiran announced their separation in 2021. However, they have consistently maintained that they remain close friends and continue to co-parent Azad while also collaborating professionally.
Despite their divorce, Aamir and Kiran continue to share a cordial relationship. They co-parent Azad, remain associated through Aamir Khan Productions, and also work together on the Paani Foundation. Kiran’s film Laapataa Ladies was co-produced by both Kindling Productions and Aamir Khan Productions.
Aamir Khan and Reena Dutta marriage
Long before he became one of Bollywood’s biggest stars, Aamir married Reena Dutta in 1986. Their relationship remained one of the most talked-about love stories from the actor’s early years. The couple stayed together for nearly 16 years before parting ways in 2002. During their marriage, they welcomed two children — son Junaid Khan and daughter Ira Khan. Despite their divorce, Aamir and Reena have continued to maintain a cordial relationship over the years.
