competition from Hrithik Roshan and Jr. NTR’s War 2. According to the latest report on Sacnilk, the film has a nett collection of Rs 256 crore in India.
According to Sacnilk, Coolie collected Rs 10.75 crore on its 11th day of release. The first week’s collections totalled Rs 229.65 crore. After 11 days, the total collections reached Rs 256 crore. The movie continues to attract audiences across multiple regions and languages, with the Tamil version recording an overall occupancy of 38.07 per cent, the Telugu version at 24.68 per cent and the Hindi version at a modest 18.40 per cent.
Coolie’s Opening Week Collections
Coolie, which was released over the Independence Day weekend, received a massive response, earning Rs 65 crore on its first day alone. The film maintained its pace over the first weekend, collecting Rs 54.75 crore on Day 2, Rs 39.5 crore on Day 3 and Rs 32.25 crore on Day 4.
Coolie’s Plot And Cast
Coolie recounts the gritty journey of Deva (Rajinikanth), a former union leader who sets out to discover the truth behind his comrade Rajasekhar’s tragic demise. His quest for justice pits him against strong criminal lord Simon, played by Nagarjuna, and his vicious right-hand man, Dayal.
Aside from Rajinikanth, the film stars Nagarjuna, Rachita Ram, Shruti Haasan, Soubin Shahir, Upendra, and Sathyaraj in pivotal roles. Coolie marks Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan’s much-anticipated Tamil debut, while Pooja Hegde makes a special appearance for a song sequence.
Coolie, produced by Kalanithi Maran’s Sun Pictures, is turning up to be one of the most successful Tamil films of all time.
