The winter season in Mumbai is here. But it can get confusing to try to dress yourself for the days, as it can get very hot but cools down considerably in the evening. However, actor Aditi Rao Hydari has
cracked the code to styling in the winter in Mumbai.
And this hack can work for other cities too, where the temperature fluctuates throughout the day.
Aditi Rao Hydari wore a cashmere sweater and was papped at a salon in Mumbai. She was seen in an adorable navy blue crew neck sweater with a German Shepherd dog embroidered on it. The sweater from AQUA comes with a price tag of $114 (Rs 10,281).

What makes this outfit unique is the way Aditi Rao Hydari has styled the look – with a mini skirt from H&M that costs ₹1,399. Instead of opting for denims or pants that can get stuffy during the day in Mumbai, she chose a ruffled mini skirt with a checkered pattern.
For her casual day out on the town, the actor kept the accessories to a minimum, only slinging on the Louis Vuitton Keepall Bandoulière 45 Bag (₹2,48,000) and flaunting her natural skin. Aditi Rao Hydari wore white chunky sneakers to round of her look.

Here’s how to keep your cashmere sweater looking good as new:
Cashmere’s luxurious softness comes from delicate goat fibres that demand gentle care. These 5 tips will prevent pilling, stretching, and fading, and will ensure your investment lasts through many seasons.
Air It Out, Don’t Overwash
Wear your sweater 2–3 times before cleaning. Between wears, lay it flat in a ventilated area away from direct sunlight. Gently shake or brush with a soft cashmere brush to remove dust and fluff fibres. Overwashing weakens fibres—handwash only when necessary, after every 4–6 wears.
Handwash Gently with Care
Fill a basin with lukewarm water and a teaspoon of mild shampoo or wool wash (no fabric softener). Submerge the sweater, gently agitating for 2–3 minutes. Rinse twice with cool water. Press, don’t wring out the excess water between towels, then reshape flat on a dry towel. Air-dry away from heat sources.
Store Flat and Moth-Free
Never hang cashmere—it stretches shoulders. Fold loosely in a breathable cotton bag or drawer. Use cedar blocks or lavender sachets to deter moths. Before long-term storage, wash once more to remove hidden oils or eggs.
De-Pill Regularly
Pilling is normal initially. Use a cashmere comb or sweater shaver weekly. Lay flat, and gently comb in one direction. Rotate multiple sweaters to reduce friction wear. Avoid electric razors if you’re inexperienced—they can snag.
Spot-Clean Stains Immediately
Dab stains with cold water and a drop of mild soap using a soft cloth. For grease, sprinkle cornflour, let sit 30 mins, then brush off. Dry flat. Professional dry-cleaning suits heavy soiling but sparingly—chemicals strip natural oils.
